Takedowns
Pages are made by the people who run the servers on them. If one is doing something it should not, report it and it gets looked at.
Report a page
Email abuse@servr.gg with:
- the page address,
servr.gg/something, - what is wrong with it,
- anything that shows it — a screenshot, an archive link.
If you are the rights holder for material on a page, say so and say which material. If you are reporting on behalf of somebody else, say that too.
What gets a page removed
- Sexual content involving minors, in any form. Reported to the relevant authorities as well as removed.
- Content that promotes violence against people, or harassment of a named person.
- Impersonating somebody else’s server, brand or identity to mislead.
- Material posted without the right to post it.
- Malware, phishing, or links to either.
What does not
- Disagreeing with a server’s rules, politics or moderation.
- A server being about a game, topic or community you dislike.
- A handle you wanted. Handles go to whoever claims them first; there is no dispute process for wanting one more.
What happens
Reports are read by a person, usually within a few days. A page found in breach is unpublished, which removes it from the web and leaves the server untouched — servr does not moderate Discord servers and cannot act inside one.
The owner is told what was removed and why, and can reply. If we got it wrong, it goes back up.
Counter-notice
If your page was removed and you believe it should not have been, reply to the message you were sent explaining why. Include anything that supports it. A second person looks at it.
